Volunteer at SSVP Omaha

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha is grateful for the countless volunteer hours that are provided to our organization in all of our programs. Volunteering can be a one-time event, or a longer-lasting commitment. Both individuals and group are welcome to volunteer. Please consider volunteering today!

Current Volunteer Needs

  • WOWT/First Alert 6 "Stuff the Truck" Volunteer - 6 AM until 6PM, Thursday, December 4th, 2025 - Represent the Society and greet food donors at either of two locations in Omaha (with all food coming to SSVP's Food Pantry). To learn more about this volunteer opportunity and to sign up, please click HERE.
  • Thrift Stores -  Help sort and organize donations at one of our four store locations.
  • Helpline Volunteer - Volunteer remotely and help connect those who seek assistance with the resources they need.
  • Donation Pick Up Driver - Help make a difference in our community! The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha is seeking volunteer drivers to pick up donated groceries and other items from local businesses and deliver them to one of our locations – such as our Food Pantry, Holy Family Center or Thrift Stores. This is a flexible volunteer role – pickups may occur periodically (like weekly) or on an as-needed basis, depending on donation schedules and business partners. Volunteers use their own vehicles to transport donations within the Omaha area. Your time and effort help ensure that vital food and household items reach neighbors in need. Interested? Contact the SSVP Omaha District Office at 402-779-8499 to learn more or to sign up!
