Corinne FickenDirector of Stores
|
If you ask Corinne where she grew up, she will tell you the Best Small Town in Middle America: Elkhorn, Nebraska.
Growing up with a mom who worked for St. Patrick's church, a Godmother who worked for Immaculate Conception, and an aunt who was a Franciscan Sister, she came by her faith easily and earnestly. Corinne feels very blessed with the career path she chose: the wonderful world of retail where no 2 days are the same. After 15 states and 51 cities, Corinne wanted to use her skills to give back to the community. She wanted to be able to take her successes from all her retail experience and use them to help people who really need and deserve respect and support. When she came upon the Director of Stores role for SSVP she knew it was the answer. Both her husband Gary and her son Cale agreed. Meeting Jill and seeing her passion for helping those underprivileged only sealed the deal for her. Corinne’s goal is to make our SSVP Thrift Stores the best thrift stores in Omaha! Outside of work, you will catch her entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She loves the game of football, a true reality show! The Cornhuskers and the Chicago Bears are some of her favorites. Traveling all over the country to see NASCAR racing is her idea of vacation. Corinne leaves us with one final quote, “Learn something new every day and life becomes richer because of it.” |
