HOW YOU CAN HELP!

• DONATE COATS/SCARVES/GLOVES - Donate new or gently used coats for your neighbors in need. Don't forget new scarves, hats, gloves, and mittens are NEEDED TOO! Please drop off donations at any of our SSVP Thrift Stores.
• MAKE A FINANCIAL DONATION - Make a gift to help purchase coats and other necessities for the 2025 Winter Coat Drive and Giveaway.
• VOLUNTEER - Volunteer your time to make our coat giveaway events a huge success. And, please feel free to consider volunteering more than once. You can sign up to volunteer for the October 25th Coat Giveaway at Omaha Home for Boys Gym, HERE.

*Proof can consist of children's presence, photos, Driver's Licenses, School ID, Birth Certificate, Medicare/Medicaid/Insurance Card, Social Security Card, Passport, OHA ID, or Tribal ID.
These events will be "first come, first served," as there will be limited inventory. 
Families and individuals may only attend ONE (1) Coat Giveway Event.

DONATE NEW COATS!

The Knights of Columbus are committed to serving the community through charitable giving, including offering the ability to order new winter coats at competitive pricing through their "Coats for Kids" program.
Regardless of whether you are a member of the Knights of Columbus, or not, you can order new winter coats through the K of C's "Coats for Kids" website. We encourage you to order as many boxes of heavier WINTER COATS (what this K of C website calls "Extreme Weather Jackets") for children, teens or adults, as you are able, at the site linked below (12 winter coats per box). Please do NOT order coats/jackets listed as "Lightweight".
   
Please have all new coats you order delivered to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha’s District Office, located at 1715 Izard Street, Omaha, NE 68102 – Attention: Rebecca Darga.

IMPORTANT: in order to help us keep track of quantities of winter coats & sizes – PLEASE let us know what you’ve ordered by sending an email to SSVP Executive Assistant, Rebecca Darga at [email protected]. To ensure that the coats arrive prior to the giveaways, the last day to order coats through the "Coats for Kids" webpage is October 1st, 2025.
