Professional Bio

Austin is an artist with many hats: graphic design, digital painting, 3D sculpting, video editing, and user interfaces & experiences. Born in Charleston, SC & raised in Atlanta, GA- he moved to Omaha for school and earned a BSBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. For over a decade, he worked as a freelance agent in software development projects, particularly in the video game industry. 
 
His nonprofit work in Omaha began with COVID-19, volunteering for Food Bank for the Heartland and providing pantry goods at Millard Public Schools. He then worked in Human Resources at Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) to serve the North Omaha community.  Austin has now brought his variety of skills and expertise to the Society of St.  Vincent de Paul Omaha. In 2021, he developed and implemented new volunteer management systems for the Society. In 2022,  Austin expanded the network of partner agencies and community outreach, bringing the total number of unique volunteers to over 600 people. In 2023, he brought innovation to the Helpline Program again by creating and adding website features for clients to apply online and find resources with the Interactive Parish Map Tool.
