Volunteer Opportunities

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Omaha is grateful for the countless volunteer hours that are provided to our organization in all of our programs. Volunteering can be a one-time event, or a longer-lasting commitment. Both individuals and group are welcome to volunteer. Please consider volunteering today!

Volunteer opportunities include:
  • Conferences - 31 parish based groups in the area offering emergency assistance and friendship.
  • Disaster Relief - Lend your hands to those recovering from the traumatic storms that have damaged the Omaha area.
  • Food Pantry - 2101 Leavenworth Street - Sort and organize donated food items; accompany neighbors in need through the pantry, ensuring that they obtain the food items they need. Conduct Non-Perishable Food Collections/Drives.
  • Pantry Garden - 2101 Leavenworth Street - Plant, water, weed and generally tend to the pantry's garden. Pick vegetables, all of which are then given away in our co-located food pantry.
  • SSVP District Office / Holy Family Center - 1715 Izard Street - Sack Lunch Program, Street Outreach, Closet Door, Churchyard Garden, Grounds; Office Work, Events, In-Kind Collections/Drives.
  • Stuff the Truck - Methodist Women's Hospital and Methodist Physicians Clinic - Help receive and load donations for this food drive hosted by WOWT.
  • Thrift Stores - Four locations throughout Omaha - Sort and organize donated items; hang clothing on racks.
  • Helpline - At home or at Holy Family - Review emails, phone calls, make referrals, and more.
